Welcome to Portland, Oregon
When you’re not square dancing, hiking or taking part in our sports day, you’ll need somewhere to lay your head! With that in mind, here are some accommodation ideas. We’ve surveyed the city’s many options and feel that these three are best in terms of location and price. Lolo Pass is our top pick for the UK pals crew.
Lolo Pass
Lolo Pass is a beautiful new hostel in south east Portland. We think it would be a wonderful home for your stay, particularly if in a group of friends. If you share a dormitory, it is the cheapest accommodation we can provide. Lolo Pass features:
- Mixed and single sex dormitory rooms
- Private rooms
- Breakfast
- Working space and coffee bar
- Rooftop, with beautiful views of the city
The kind folks over at Lolo Pass have created a special booking link for us that will give you 10% off. It can be used up to 30 days before 5th June. Click ‘Book Now’ below to use it.
If you’re booking as a group but wish to pay separately, Lolo Pass will ensure that you’re staying together. We will arrange this at the beginning of June.

Ace Hotel
The Ace Hotel is situated in the heart of Downtown Portland. We love this spot because it reminds us of the Ace in Shoreditch; during the first years of our relationship we would spend hours there planning Breakfast and the RA Lates.
As with Lolo Pass, the kind folks down at the Ace Hotel have furnished us with a special booking link for our guests. It’ll give you a 20% discount, and it also waives the $25 per night service fee.

Northwest Portland Hostel
Located in the historic Nob Hill / Northwest district, not too far from Marah’s folks and the city centre, this hostel is a great alternative to Lolo Pass and Ace Hotel. The original building opened in 1998, but has since grown to a village of six buildings, most built in the 1800s.
We don’t have a booking link for this hostel, unfortunately, but it’s worth a look if you fancy a hodge podge stay.
